Peace In Devastation

On January 20, 1987, our beautiful firstborn daughter died in a freak accident.

Lori Jean was only 26 years old. It was so sudden and unexpected. We were devastated as a family. She was so young…Why, God? 

A couple of weeks later I opened our family Bible. This particular Bible is special because it holds important dates of weddings, births, deaths, and other meaningful events. As I was looking through the Bible I couldn’t believe my eyes! God took Lori home to be with Him 20 years to the day that she accepted the Lord as her Savior on January 20, 1967. 

Peace immediately flooded my soul!
