Answered Prayer
When I first became a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ it was abundantly clear to my family that I was different. I had changed.
My daughter followed in her profession of faith not long after, but my son-in-law was a work in progress. He was stubborn and while he was okay with the rest of us believing, he wasn’t willing to embrace it for himself. So we prayed and prayed and prayed that his eyes would be opened to the truth. And guess what? After years of praying, God did reveal Himself.
My son-in-law started attending church and getting involved in church functions. I distinctly remember when I first realized he was a changed person. I was going to watch the grandkids while he and my daughter went on a trip and he said, "You know, you’re gonna have to take the kids to church on Sunday.”
Since then, he and my daughter have volunteered as Sunday school teachers. Our granddaughter asked my husband, Pat, if he would baptize her, which he did. Our grandson, who’s getting ready to start college, without any prompting from anyone asked to be baptized, and he was.
God does answer prayer! So if there are those of you who have unsaved family members, don’t stop praying. God hears you.
