Statement Of Faith

We believe the Bible teaches:

The Bible
The entire Bible is verbally inspired, inerrant, and is the only authoritative source of doctrine and practice (2 Timothy 3:16, 1 Corinthians 2:12-13, 2 Peter 1:20-21).

Trinity
One God eternally exists in three equally divine Persons: He Father, He Son, and He Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14).

Jesus Christ - Son of God
Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son and eternal God, miraculously born of the virgin Mary, and the only man whose life was absolutely sinless
(John 1:1,14, Matthew 1:18-23, 2 Corinthians 5:21).

Eternal Salvation
Man is universally and utterly sinful by nature and practice (Romans 3:10-12), and it is impossible for him or her to be saved by his or her own works or through religious observances (Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5, Romans 4:5). On the cross, Jesus Christ wholly and eternally paid the penalty for sin, and was raised from the dead according to the scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Romans 5:6,8), and any person who in faith rests upon Christ's finished work (John 19:30) immediately enters into its benefit to the present and eternal salvation of his soul (John 5:24, Hebrews 5:9, John 10:28-30).

Eternal Punishment
Jesus will be the judge of those who reject
Him as their Lord and Savior, and their portion will
be eternal punishment (Acts 17:31, John 5:22,25, Revelation 20:11-15).

Rapture of the Church
Christ is coming again for His own, raising those who have died believing in Him, and changing the living believers, taking them to be forever with Himself (1 Corinthians 15:51-52, 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18, Philippians 3:20-21).

Work of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit of God is the One who enables the believer to live a holy life (Gal. 5:16), and He divinely enables worship and service in the church (John 4:24, 1 Corinthians 12:4,7,11).

Baptism and Lord's Supper
The Bible teaches two ordinances for the church: Baptism of believers by immersion in water (Matthew 28:19, Acts 8:35-38), and the Lord's Supper for believers, which should be celebrated each Lord's day (Matthew 26:26-28, Acts 20:7, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
